Good Morning, my lovely, bloggy friends! While most of you are still asleep, I’m happy to announce that Ive finished both of the VIP’s (very important posts) that I was working on so diligently this week.
I would be so honored if you’d click here and here to read the fruits of my labor, and maybe leave a comment or two (and just so you know, I almost told you to go view the fruits of my labor, but my husband said it sounded too pornographic. I’m still laughing my ass off.).
Now I’m going to bed. Happy Thursday, y’all.
Oh! By the way, tonight (Thursday evening) is Round 2 of my aerobics class at the YMCA. We’re doing another “football workout.” If this keeps up, I’ll be on the Packers’ roster next year after toning up my ‘tight end’.
(Did you notice I’m funnier when I’m tired? I should not sleep more often.)

I’m Taking A Tiny Break
After being sick for over a week, I’m taking a break. Just a tiny one.
Truthfully, I’m working on pieces for BlogHer and The Imperfect Parent, both of which are due to publish this Thursday. I’ve been working on them since Saturday. I can’t even begin to type a sentence that doesn’t describe politics or parenting a child who had the same nasty, bronchial, lung butter, icky thing that I did.
So, in the meantime, I want you all to send your good vibes to my Green Bay Packers (I’m counting down the days until they play the Giants).
Speaking of sports, I’m going to bed. I went to aerobics today and we did a “football workout”. Let’s just say that if I had to play football, I would die. DIE! It’s a lot of work to shuffle and zig-zag and fake tackle. I looked like an elephant in heat. That is, if elephants in heat play football.

Blogging, Shopping, Toys and Politics: It All Goes Hand in Hand
If you haven’t already, I encourage you to check out my latest Home/Office post at the Imperfect Parent. I wrote about all the Christmas presents I bought online, and I know many of you are very busy with last minute holiday shopping (I suppose it will really be last minute if you wait until the 23rd), and getting things done before the big guy in the red suit arrives.
If you need last minute gift ideas, head over to Cool Mom Picks. Kristen and Liz always have the best ideas for unique (and lead free!) toys your kiddies will love. I’m recommending this stick horse from Green Little Beans. Liz talks about it here, and I ordered one for Dawson the same day. It arrived a few days after Thanksgiving and I couldn’t wait to sneak a peak at the one of a kind (no two are exactly alike), handmade toy. You’ll have to come back here after Christmas to see what it looks like!
Speaking of toys, please click here and send a petition to your State senators, demanding that they pass the Consumer Product Safety Commission Reform Act of 2007. I’ve written a post about this at Moms Speak Up. Please check it out!
And, if you’re in the mood to read about the dullest GOP debate ever, I’ve recapped it over at BlogHer.
Now that I’ve directed you elsewhere, I’m going to head over to your blogs and add my two cents.
Happy Friday!
