Just Call Me Oscar

I am super annoyed today.  Every little thing is bugging me and I’m pretty sure it’s because I’m waiting for my period to just start already.  It’s just a couple days late (and no I’m not pregnant) and my hormones are through the roof.  I’ve been yelling at everyone for no apparent reason — well, actually, I’ve been yelling because there are 60,000 toys on the living room floor and neither of my children have any intention to pick them up.  And my husband just sprawls out on the couch flipping channels while I’m going insane.  Good times.

I had a pretty great day at work.  I was very productive and completed every task on my to-do list.  At the end of the day I’m just tired.  I ran down to the County Treasurer’s office to pay our property tax and that was a $1500 check I couldn’t stand writing.  July was a tight month and thank God the county gives a grace period of one week.  We officially have $94 in our checking account now.  Thankfully, the Huz gets paid again Friday.  Ugh.  I don’t know how we make it sometimes.

I look at our paychecks and realize we make an average (combined) salary. Not rich nor poor by any means.  We are truly a middle class family with they typical mortgage, car payment, etc.  We don’t have fancy cars or buy extravagant things. We manage to save a small chunk of money each month.  I just can’t wait to pay off this house – only seven more years…

Maybe money issues make me cranky, too. Seeing the Dow plummet is upsetting, too.

I just wish this Economy of ours was on the up swing.

Ugh.  I’m so grouchy today.

  1. On the plus side, the stock market may be plummeting, but as you invest, you’re getting that many more shares for your money. That’s some small silver lining, right?

But ummm I’m crabby, too. Maybe it’s something in the water?
