I have three kids, and with each of them it took over 2 weeks for my nipples to no longer be sore (all had great latches too). And then all of a sudden you realize you're not putting Lanisoh on your boobs all the time, and that nursing is actually a nice break and a reason to sit down.

It gets easier with the other child too...I'm not going to lie...it took me about 3 months to get everything down to where I was comfortable with two kids out and about, and where my oldest was no longer jealous of the baby. But it does happen and then everything seems perfect!

And two more things: My youngest is 13 months and I'm still telling the other two to "be quiet!" And also, it took me having my third child to be comfortable nursing in public...prior to him I still utilized dressing rooms, cars and closets :)

Hang in there!

Yes, it does get easier.

A tip? Unless Dawson is being reeeeely loud, don't worry about him waking the baby. The more he's used to noise the better he'll sleep as he gets older. Regular noise, even the vacuum is great for the baby to be able to sleep to. Then you don't have to worry about waking him!

You are doing a great job, I'm sure! And yes, it does get easier. It feels like forever when you're in the thick of it, but every phase eventually ends and moves on to the next. (I'm sure I'll need to hear this in just a few short days, when I'm all drugged up on pain meds and starting my new MS medication, all while trying to care for a newborn as well)
