In lieu of real writing…

Owen’s birth story is still in draft mode. I was almost finished, but then we were admitted back to the hospital because the poor little guy is jaundiced. We spent one night on the maternity floor, with Owen under some pretty strong lights. His level went down to 13.6 from the test result of 20.5. That is uncommonly good according to our pediatrician.

We got back home yesterday, and I am still trying to figure out how to be a mother of two. Getting Dawson ready for school and on the bus was like a workout. Doug had to go back to work on Wednesday, and I miss his help. He was taking care of Dawson while I nursed Baby Jaws (Owen’s latch is so strong, I feel like my nipples are being chewed off).

So, I guess what I’m trying to say is that it’s been lovely chaos here and as soon as I remember to breathe and relax, I’ll post for real. FOR REAL.
