Living Hell: Migraines

I’m suffering my first pregnancy migraine.

Before this pregnancy I got migraines quite often, and Excedrin was my best friend.

I can now only take regular old Tylenol, one 650 mg pill, and it’s supposed to help.

It doesn’t help.

I’ve been a crabby, bitchy, weepy mess.

I’ve yelled at everyone and everything in my path.

I’ve tried to sleep it off, only to wake up feeling nauseas and ready to poke skewers in my eyes.

My poor family is steering clear of me, and I don’t blame them.

This sucks ass.

Le sigh.

  1. Oh, so sorry. I don’t know migraines, so this probably falls into the assvice column, but for anything bothering me during pregnancy, my husband gently massaging my hands (no pressure points) soothed me. Might’ve been the whole, sole focus for a time but, but it did help.

    Hoping the pain leaves quickly!

  2. That sucks. Sorry, love.

  3. Oh I’m so sorry. I’m lucky enough to not have migraines, but my mom suffers from terrible ones and did when pregnant, too. It’s not an easy one to deal with — I hope they go soon. Unfortunately, you can’t live in a dark cave of a room until you feel better. Good luck!

  4. Is there ANYTHING positive about this pregnancy?! If so, please share. Sorry you’ve got migraines – that sux.
