Say What?
My father told me about this video, and I watched it out of curiosity. I’m now more confused than ever. If this is true, that Obama can’t produce an original birth certificate, why isn’t the media all over this?
My father had some lengthy explanation that I just didn’t get, and therefore I can’t remember all that he said — however, he did say that Alan Keyes has filed a suit against Obama as well. (He also mentioned that Nancy Pelosi once questioned whether or not Arnold Schwarzenegger could be President since he’s not a natural born citizen – and she supported changing the rule to 35-year US residency for naturalized citizens, and my father finds this strange, saying she may know that Obama is not a natural born citizen as well. That’s just too much conspiracy theory for me to digest in one day.)
Could this be true? Is it possible that Barack Obama is not a Natural Born Citizen of the United States? I’ve put a lot of faith in this man. I voted for him in the Wisconsin primary, didn’t vote for him in the election (for personal and religious reasons — in all honesty I just couldn’t decide, you’ve read about my uncertainties before), but I’ve vowed to support Barack Obama because I believe that God put him in the highest office in the land for a reason.
While I don’t know what to think, I’m very concerned and very skeptical. What do you think?

All I can say is this: I did not vote for the man.

Karen, I understand. I’m just curious as to what others think about this lawsuit, and I’m wondering why it hasn’t been blogged as much as other political ideas and “conspiracy theories” — perhaps there is some truth to the matter, and perhaps not. Who the heck knows, right?

I think that this is ridiculous. Check out this link, that goes into detail fact checking this situation. It has been proven to be false and that is why people are not blogging about it.

I don’t like this video company. The one they did about Obama and abortion completely distorted Obama’s position. While you still may not agree with where he stands, they cast him as a baby killer, and that is wrong on so many levels. I personally am tired of people trying to widen the wedge, instead of looking for ways to bring us together. Just because someone is NOT pro-life does not make them pro-abortion.

Hi Laurie, thanks for the comment.
I won’t get into the abortion issue, because I’m tired of talking about it myself.
And I’m not so concerned about people not blogging it, I’m concerned as to why the media hadn’t picked it up, which to me signals there is no truth to the claim.
However, the fact that Alan Keyes filed a suit on Nov. 15th gives me pause because he would have some weight in the matter, so to speak, (unlike the guy in the video) since he was a candidate.
Why won’t Obama produce an original birth certificate, as they claim?
It just seems so shady, on both sides of the coin.

Obama DID produce a birth certificate on numerous occasions. When the scan wasn’t enough for crazy right-wingers, they showed the original government document.

The media didn’t pick it up because it’s completely invalid. Fox News tried of course, but that’s Fox News for ya
I think it’s really funny that some people made a big deal about speculating where Obama was born when John McCain was born in Panama! Not saying that in a negative way- I in no way question McCain’s citizenship, I just find it amusing

Hi Molly,
The “Crazy Right-wingers” remark was uncalled for. Especially when the guy in the video is a lifelong Democrat, and Alan Keyes ran as an independent.
It’s true, McCain was born in Panama, but when he was questioned about it he produced original documents showing his citizenship as his parents were both US citizens living in Panama.
I’m not saying there’s any truth to this, I’m just concerned as to why Alan Keyes would file a suit if there wasn’t some validity? I just wish Barack would show the original certificate so we can all move on with his presidency.
And if he has given the original already, then Alan Keyes should drop the suit. So I guess I’m looking for some documentation that shows he provided the original.
