First Day of Preschool…

…and he didn’t even cry.
I did.
I sobbed, and sobbed.
I don’t even know why.
My baby is not a baby anymore.
Why can’t he stay little for awhile longer?

What a sweetheart! Hang in there, mom!
Just wait until he becomes a sophomore in high school. *SNIFF*
I haven’t accepted the fact that he’s in high school yet, let alone graduating in three short years!! Ack!

He’s gorgeous. And very grown up. It’s hard, isn’t it? But as hard as it is, it’s also good to see them grow.
You have a lot of proud years ahead of you.

Karen, the day he goes to high school, I’ll need a lot of drinks!
Denise, I’m not sure I’m as prepared for all these “firsts” like I should be. I’m the one suffering from separation anxiety.
Thank you, Shannon! It’s just such a big milestone, both for Dawson and for me.
Dana, it’s like I left a piece of me with him. It was difficult, but the way he handled himself shows me he’s ready for this.

I know exactly what you’re talking about. Only my “little” boy is now 18. My other “little” boy is 15. I’ve a bit of sadness each school year as it starts. Each is a milestone to be so very proud of. You go, Dawson!!!
