Beautifully written.

I keep getting told, "You're young- everything will work out fine." But they don't understand that while my license says "30," my ovaries say "45."

Yep, Dana. You beong. And we accept you just the way you are.

Wish there were something I or anyone could do or say to make it better for you but having been wrenched by infertility myself I know that there's really nothing that can make it "all better". Infertility feels like an unjustified punishment and it's hard for those who haven't faced it to understand it. Thank goodness you found sympathetic support.

Dana,

I hope you get the support you need from knowing there are folks out there going through the same thing. I have two kids, but also consider myself infertile. Conceiving them wasn't easy both times it took those same months of disappointment, doctor's appointments, cycles of drugs, feelings of inadequacy, feelings of shame and jealousy. And the second time, there was the doubt that I had the right to be "facing fertility problems" since I already had a biological child. However, my love for the blogosphere was totally cemented through this because there was no where else that people are willing to share their stories. And people who are afraid of getting shot down when they explain themeselves in real life get the space to tell their experiences they way they need to. So congrats on taking up the space you need. It's here and it's unlimited. Use it.

I am so glad you're starting to heal - I really believe it makes the whole process easier to know that other people are going (or have gone) through the same thing. I'm so sorry that the first person you told didn't understand - it always seems like it's so easy for other people to deny YOUR infertility. I got that a lot and it made me want to scream. Other people kept insisting that I couldn't be infertile since I was in my early 20's. HUH?
