One Should Never Blog When Tired
It’s been a very long, exhausting day. Yesterday, Dawson decided to throw up on the living room rug and then told me his tummy and his ears hurt. I honestly thought he was just faking an illness to get out of going to daycare, and I didn’t want to call in sick to the job I can’t blog about. But I had no choice (and I’m so tired I nearly wrote “I had no Joyce.” I think that’s the name of our pharmacist), and ended up staying home yesterday. Turns out, Dawson has come down with an ear, nose, throat thing of sorts, in the summer of all seasons.
This morning, I ran to the drug store to pick up a prescription “just in case”, per the pediatrician’s instructions. It was NOT that crappy augmentin stuff, thank goodness. I had to force that stuff down his throat when he had an ear infection in January, and the stuff made his hair fall out in one spot on his head that is now finally growing back.
After I made sure the Doodlebug was situated at home with Daddy, I went off to the job I can’t blog about and busted my hump for several long hours. Then I came home and listened to a whiny child ask whiny questions about whiny things and I seriously think I’m in need of a winey drink.
Add to this my growling stomach, and an exhaustion hangover from going to bed too late the night before, and I’m a total ball of fun. AND, tonight is the first night of Murphy’s dog obedience training class (because the vet recommended it to help tone down the canine’s hyperactivity). I don’t want to go, but I must. Sigh.
Currently, I’m being forced to watch Jake and Josh because Dawson (who is wearing the same Green Bay Packers football helmet he had on when I left this morning — “to keep the owies away, Mumma!”) is laying on the couch, mesmerized - by what I don’t know. Doug is outside mowing the rest of the lawn that I failed to cut on Saturday evening (speaking of that, I have sunburn on my shoulders and it HURTS. Forgot the SPF 80 billion, stupidly). My husband couldn’t wait to get outside, away from a demanding little boy.
And so…this post is a mixture of random thoughts, and I’m terribly sorry for going off on a tangent or twenty. It’s the exhaustion. I promise I’ll go to bed before 10 p.m. tonight, and I won’t be crabby tomorrow!

Sorry little boy, and mommy, aren’t feeling well. Hopefully it will pass soon.
I hope Murphy’s classes go well. We did classes at PetSmart and it was great! We have a very “energetic” golden retriever - smiles!

Wow… I hope your life settles down a bit, or at least that you can catch up on some sleep. It’s lame to be exhausted AND have to deal with stressful things.
Hope Dawson feels better soon, too. The augmentin made his hair fall out? That’s crazy… it gives me hives.
