Playoff Recap, Now That I Feel Better
After a long day of watching two awesome football games, I’m exhausted. Football takes a lot out of a girl.
The San Diego Chargers won against the Indianapolis Colts, defending Super Bowl Champs, and they move on to the AFC championship game against the New England Patriots. The Dallas Cowboys lost (Hooray!) to the New York Giants, final score 21-17.
I feel sad for Tony Romo, simply because of my Wisconsin pride, but I’m happy the Cowboys were knocked out of the playoffs. This gives the Green Bay Packers home field advantage when they play the Giants next Sunday. I would give my right arm for tickets to that game. Lambeau Field will be on fire next week.
While watching the Dallas, New York game, I was shocked that the referees were actually throwing flags and handing penalties to the Cowboys. This is rare. The games are usually rigged in Dallas. I’m starting to think Jerry Jones pays the refs under the table to call the game a certain way. (Okay, I don’t really think that, but Dallas rarely gets as many calls against them as they did tonight.)
The last play of the game, 4th down for Dallas, was the best. Romo threw an interception, locking the win for the Giants. It was so sweet I fell out of my chair and then got up to dance around the living room with Dawson. We had a great time watching the game.
We saw the first half at my parents house so that I could do some laundry (we still haven’t purchased a new washer), and then during half time we drove home to catch the second half. I’m still so excited about how things played out.
More good news; Dawson and I are feeling much better now that we’ve been taking our medicine. This is great, now I can go back to work tomorrow. Thank heavens! If I had to stay home sick one more day, I might have lost my mind.
I’m anxious to get back to my work-outs and aerobics classes, too. I missed several days and I need to get back on track.
Tomorrow night is yoga, Tuesday night is my Hard Core Abs class, and Thursday is Butts and Guts. I’m going for the “Abs of Steel” look.
That last sentence makes me laugh. It’ll take a miracle to get some abs of steel on this body. Childbirth definitely screwed that up!

I am glad everyone is starting to turn the corner! My kids are still under the weather here. I am starting to think it will just last all winter.
Potty training update: the kid drives me nuts. She pees 90% of the time in the potty but I can’t get her to poop to save my life. Stubbornly, we have her in panties, which makes for a LOVELY mess every day. Such are the joys….
