Monday, Monday
I had a weekend of football, laundry, football, eating healthy, going out to a bar with y sister, watching football, trying to clean the house, exercising and oh, did I mention, watching football? Today, I’m home with a sick child.
Dawson caught another cold. He has one so often, I’m beginning to forget when one ends and another begins. He was very cranky this morning, and had a slight fever and was coughing and sniffling so much, I decided to keep him home. I was starting to feel the symptoms last night — sore through, stuffy nose, yucky all over. I thought I’d be lucky and not catch a disease this time around, especially since I’ve done a complete overhaul on my diet (and I’ve been eating fresh oranges each day), but when Doug got this virus last week, I knew I was in for it myself.
I made a pot of Potato-Cucumber soup for lunch and we’ve been eating it all day. I refuse to give in and be sick. It’s my new motto, “No Viruses Allowed”. I think it’s working.
Guess what we’re watching on television, right now! Any guesses, anyone? If you said SpongeBob SquarePants, you win a million pennies, payable annually at 10 cents each year. I’m ready to throw a brick sponge at the T.V., because I can’t take it anymore.
Dawson is taking every single DVD out of the entertainment stand because he wants to make a tower with the cases. I’m too lazy to yell at him right now, maybe I will later. You know, after he makes a huge mess and I break my leg when I slip on one of the cases.
Tonight I start my new yoga class at the YMCA and I”m very excited. And Thursday, I begin the Butts ‘N Guts class. That should burn some belly flab. I can’t wait.
I have to stop blogging, the dog is begging to go outside to pee.
Who else is happy the Writer’s Strike is finally over? I was glued to the T.V. last night, watching Desperate Housewives. I can’t believe Carlos is going to b e blind!

I have to get my butt to a yoga class, too, but I feel so self-conscious going to a class by myself. I wonder if I can convince my husband to come with me? On second thought, that might not be the best solution to this problem…
Hope it’s fun!

The writer’s strike isn’t over. Perhaps there were episodes in the can already – but the truth is, it’s not over. Picketers were back on the lines after the holidays yesterday. How do I know? I work in feature film, and if it goes to June, I’m out of a job. So – we’ll see!

Really?
I heard on the local news that it had been settled! How strange. I wonder why they’d report that if it wasn’t true. Perhaps they were mistaken and didn’t even know it themselves!
