Photo Saturday

So…my life has been completely hectic, and last night I woke up at 3:30 a.m. and realized I had forgotten to upload our photos from Thanksgiving to Flickr — and I never posted a photo of my hip haircut.

Here it is:

Also, I forgot to show you the funny little squirrel we saw in the tree outside our living room window. This photo was taken almost a month ago. Isn’t he just a cute little thing? Dawson has named him “StrawBob SquirrelPants”. This is probably because we watch waaaaay too much SpongeBob in this house!

And…I finally felt ambitious and put up the Christmas tree. Many of you may remember that I didn’t put one up last year. I was too worried about Dawson breaking some of my most precious ornaments (kind of like he did in 2005).

The Tree! It is up!!

Isn’t it beautiful? I can’t stop admiring it. Now I have to stick some presents underneath it!

  1. very nice hair and tree. I’m terrified of putting ornaments on the tree. They look too much like “Balls” which are one of the only things we allow Ben to throw anymore.

  2. Your haircut is cute! I love it.

And your tree - it is just beautiful. I love it all lit up. We love to turn out all the lights at night and just have the tree lights on. It’s so peaceful and lovely.

The squirrel is cute, too. Julia would appreciate the name - we’re SpongeBob fans, too.

  3. Gorgeous tree and hair, look s great. The squirrel’s name is hilarious. :)

  4. Cheryl, I don’t blame you. The year Dawson was two, I put the tree up in our family room which is in the lower level of our house. Thirteen “balls” were shattered. I skipped last year for fear of the same thing happening. This year he’s a lot more gentle and he actually helped me hang the ornaments!

Thanks Leslie! I wasn’t sure what I was in for, but it turned out pretty good!

Julia and Dawson are soul mates! Don’t tell anyone, but I don’t think I can watch another episode of SpongeBob or I’ll go completely mad!!

  5. A lovely new do to go with the gorgeous tree.

  6. Thanks, Patois! :)

  7. Thanks, Julie! :)

  8. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your haircut. That’s the cut I want but my hair is too wavy in the back. Am envious of your beautiful, shiny, STRAIGHT hair. (I have schizo hair… Some stick straight, some wavy and some curly. And lots of cowlicks.)

    Cute Squirrel.

    And the tree looks amazing.

  9. Thanks sweetie! And believe me, I’ve had my share of hair traumas….this is the first haircut I don’t hate!

  10. Your hair is so cute! I need to post a photo of our tree, which Kaitlyn helped decorate. It’s crooked, and all the ornaments are bunched together, but I’m not changing a thing!

  11. I LOVE the hair!

  12. Definitely agree with the other posts.. nice haircut.
