You Don’t Mess Around With Jim
Thursday, September 20th, was the anniversary of Jim Croce’s death, thirty-four years ago. I love the folk singer’s work so much I couldn’t help but share these videos with you.
My father had a vinyl album of Jim Croce’s music. I can’t seem to find it anywhere, but I’ve purchased some of Jim’s songs on iTunes. It’s sad that he died so young. I can only imagine the songs he would have continued to write and the music he would have made.

I grew up with Jim Croce’s music playing in my house. I don’t think it gets much better than when he sings “Time In A Bottle.” Great videos.

[...] Every year, I remember Jim and his amazing music. Could you imagine what he’d be doing today? [...]

I have thought exactly the same thing. A few years ago I was in a store and found a CD with his music in a store for under $5 and I felt SO lucky. Great CD too
(I think it was just because most Israelis haven’t heard of him.)
I remember hearing ‘Operator’ as a kid and loving the line “You can keep the dime” - it was when a phone call still cost a dime
