iBakesale, Everyday Savings, Local Fundraising

As a blogger, it’s so easy to write about volunteering and donating to charity.  But how many of us actually participate in the things we write about?

Thanks to the new site iBakesale, I can put my money where my mouth is (where my charity is?) and really make a difference for the organizations I support.

When you shop online via iBakesale, you can earn cash back (by percentage of purchase) that can be donated to various charities, as well as local organizations such as little league, private schools, etc., AS WELL AS yourself.

What a better way to raise money for the American Suzuki Foundation of Stevens Point?  Or the Stevens Point Area Catholic Schools?  Or the local chapter of the Susan G Komen Foundation?

When I first heard about iBakesale, I worried that it would be too difficult to set up my account and start my donations.  After I took the time to register, I realized it’s quite easy and I encourage you, my dear readers, to get involved, too!

You can sign up your own local groups, private schools and organizations or you can get money back for yourselves on your purchases, or you can support my groups; the American Suzuki Foundation of Stevens Point or the Stevens Point Area Catholic Schools. (Let me just say these groups desperately need the funds.  Please register and click on the state of Wisconsin to find my groups.)

Think of all the great organizations out there who could use a little funding!  Won’t you join iBakesale today?  Click here!

  1. Hey Dana! I’d love to meet up with you but I can’t find your email address anywhere. Email me at skydive1973cdr@gmail.com if you’d like and I’ll give you my cell phone number. We’ll be there Thursday about 10 pm until Monday morning. Hope to hear from you!

  2. Great post. I like your comment about being able to put your money where your mouth is. May people can talk about doing good, but few actually devote substantial time to a favorite cause. We are all constrained for time and have tons of obligations that it becomes hard to give back.

Your local Stevens Point organizations sound like they can use all of our help. iBakeSale was created for this exact reason, to allow people to support local causes they’re passionate about in a way that’s easy and free. Thank you again for joining iBakeSale and stay in touch!

Dana began her Mom career in 2004 with the birth of her eldest son, Dawson, aka The Doodlebug. She spends her days catering to a 5-year-old, she denies her habit of compulsive vacuuming, and just recently gave birth to Owen, aka Monster Baby. She's definitely living La Vida Loca and wouldn't want it any other way.
