The Acceptance Speech

It turns out the recipe I submitted to Mothers Click is going to be published in their fundraiser cookbook.  I am so excited and grateful to everyone who voted for my recipe.

I have never submitted a recipe to anything, not even a church cookbook.  And that’s only because my parish cookbook came out in 1991.  I was twelve and too young to care about recipes and measuring cups, unless you count using my mom’s to make mudpies in the back yard.

Because the Mothers Click Cookbook is raising money for Boys & Girls Clubs all over the nation, I’m happy to promote this cause.  Our local chapter provides a safe place for kids and teens to hang out.  It really is a great organization.

If you’re looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift, I strongly urge you to buy this book.  I bought one for myself and one for my mother.  I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she sees my soup recipe.

So once again, thank you for voting for my recipe.

Oh, and tell your friends!  Pretty Please?  After all, it’s for the children…(guilt always works, right?)
