So if you know something's wrong, make sure you tell them everything you can about it and make them do a test if you feel that's what you need! I once spent 5 hours in an out-of-town ER on Thanksgiving to be told there was nothing wrong when clearly there was - it was 3 more days before I finally got home and my own doctor ordered an ultrasound to find out. I was about 3ml from a burst bladder by the time I got to the local ER! If you're afraid you might forget what to ask or tell, write it down. That helps a LOT, especially if you have the kind of doctor who likes to barely whisk through the room and say "hi." Stand your ground, Dana!
