Just send people cards! why worry about what to get them! Save your money and open a savings account. Who says you have to buy stuff for friends and family? To hell with tradition! If your friends and family think less of you for not getting them anything, then they are not worth any effort!

Those are great ideas. I really dread this part of the holidays. I don't know what to get these people! Ugh!

How about a nice blanket throw that's cozy and comfy? That's our fall-back gift if we don't know what to get someone. Just make sure it's a neutral color. I'm not a fan of Christmas shopping myself. As a matter of fact, I avoid it. I picked three names off of our Giving Tree at work (we adopted a few families in town to provide presents for the children), and I had the darndest time finding a Ken doll. It took four stores, but I finally found one at Target last night.

Our shopping this year is simple. We get McDonald's gift certificates for all of my nieces and nephews. My brothers and sisters picked from a hat, so Chester and I only have to buy two presents for my siblings. Then we just have to buy for my parents and a general, simple gift for each family unit.
