Last year at this time, I'd already had four horrible colds from September on. And I still ended up with the flu in January and a couple more colds (one that took out my voice for a week) before winter was over. The difference this year? Allergy meds. I was skeptical when my doctor put me on Allegra and Singulair last spring but I haven't had a cold since - even while my co-workers have been coming down with stuff. Working in a library exposes me to a lot of germs, dust and mold so I'm guessing my doctor was on to something. I’m knocking on wood right now, because so far I have managed to stay healthy.
