Monday, Monday, Monday and I can’t sleep.

Is it just me, or is everyone else freakin’ exhausted after Thanksgiving?

I am so damn tired and my sleep schedule is all messed up.  It’s 1:13 a.m. and I can’t sleep because I took a two hour nap today.  I couldn’t resist.  Dawson wanted to cuddle up with Mumma in the “big bed” and how can I say no to that?

I’m paying for it now.  I just got through my bloglines and blogwalking.  That’s good.

Tomorrow Today, I have lots to do.  Visit the library, the bank, the post office.  And I’m going to clean the spare bedroom and turn it into Dawson’s playroom.  His toys are slowly overtaking every room of this house and it would be nice to contain them in one room.

Okay, I’m gonna try to hit the hay.  Goodnight.   Or Good Morning.  Which ever you prefer!

Thanksgiving Photo Blogging

We started Thanksgiving Day by going to church. It was a very nice Mass. Not a lot of people. Technically, Thanksgiving isn’t a Holy Day of obligation, but it was good to go and give thanks to God for all the blessings in our lives.

After church we went home and I set up the tripod to take our family photo for our Christmas cards. I uploaded the photo to Walgreens.com and they printed the cards the same day. When we got to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving, my mom was so impressed, she had me take her photo for her cards and I picked them up at the same time. Here’s how they turned out:

Dawson just had to be in Nonna and Poppa’s Christmas card, too! I think they turned out really great.

My turkey was delish! Here’s the photo before I put it in the oven. Lots of veggies, lemon for juicy flavor and I rubbed down that bird with fresh herbs and spices!

Overall, we had a great holiday. Now, I’m really freakin’ exhausted. I can only imagine how tired I’ll be after Christmas!

It’s a Meme! Again! You can blame Mocha and Rachel!

The Kennedys:  America’s Emerald Kings by Thomas Maier. I’ve been on a Kennedy family knowledge hunt.  This is the fourth Kennedy biography I’ve read in the last 3 weeks.

2. If you stretch out your left arm as far as possible, what are you touching?
A very hot candle burning on the table!  Ouch!  I don’t need any more burns!

3. What’s the last program you watched on TV?
Sex and the City.  I revisit my boxed sets every so often.  I can beat ANYONE.  AND I MEAN ANYONE in SATC trivia.  Go ahead.  Try me.

4. Without looking, guess what time it is.
9:37.  It’s really only 9:17.

5. Aside from the computer, what can you hear right now?
My husband, my father and my brothers arguing about football.  The t.v. blaring the Notre Dame game.

6. When was the last time you were outside and what did you do?
I went outside today to get the mail.

7. What are you wearing?
Black running pants and and orange Old Navy t-shirt.  I’m casual.  All the time.

8. Did you dream last night? If you did, what about?
I dreamt about Mario Lopez and our dream wedding.  Uh oh.  I’m already married.  Dang.

9. When was the last time you laughed?
20 minutes ago when my sister and I were reading Mocha’s Thanksgiving tales.  Then we found this meme and Rachel made me do it right now.

Other than my husband?

I’m only doing it because my sister is sitting right here.  Making me.

The Upside of Anger.  Definitely a strange movie.  Hey!  That could have been number 11!!

14. If you became a multimillionaire, what would you do with the money?
Pay off my debts.  My family’s debts.  Save some money for my son’s college education…and donate money to Catholic Charities to help less fortunate persons.

15. Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know.
If I told you, then most people would know, right?

16. If you could change ONE THING in this world, without regarding politics or bad guilt, what would it be?
If I can’t change politics, then I don’t want to change anything.

Yep.  I do.  I really do!

Bless his heart.  He takes a lot of heat, but never runs out of the kitchen.

19. What do you want your children’s names to be, girl/boy?
If I had a girl tomorrow, I’d like to name her Edyta.  This may change.

20. Would you ever consider living abroad?
I’ve wanted to live in Venice, but I hear it’s sinking.

That’s up to God.  I hope he tells me I lived life as he wished.

Meme Time

Well, my thigh feels better.  It still stings and hurts a little, but for the most part, I’m functional.  My parents are coming over for dinner tonight, so I have to be able to cook without burning, cutting or injuring myself.   Last night I was draining the pasta noodles and Dawson decided to run into the kitchen and hug my leg.  A sweet gesture, but bad timing.  Since Doug was working, I had no help and my panicky instinct was to shoo Dawson out of the kitchen.  Because of this, I spilled 130 degree, boiling water onto my right thigh.
