Thanksgiving Photo Blogging

We started Thanksgiving Day by going to church. It was a very nice Mass. Not a lot of people. Technically, Thanksgiving isn’t a Holy Day of obligation, but it was good to go and give thanks to God for all the blessings in our lives.

After church we went home and I set up the tripod to take our family photo for our Christmas cards. I uploaded the photo to Walgreens.com and they printed the cards the same day. When we got to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving, my mom was so impressed, she had me take her photo for her cards and I picked them up at the same time. Here’s how they turned out:

Dawson just had to be in Nonna and Poppa’s Christmas card, too! I think they turned out really great.

Here some photos of the Thursday Thanksgiving at my parents’ house and then the Saturday Thanksgiving that Doug and I hosted at our house.

Dawson loved when Daddy put olives on his fingers!

My turkey was delish! Here’s the photo before I put it in the oven. Lots of veggies, lemon for juicy flavor and I rubbed down that bird with fresh herbs and spices!

Don’t we look like we’re having fun?

My brother is such a nerd!

Before you ask, yes, I finished this bottle.

Overall, we had a great holiday. Now, I’m really freakin’ exhausted. I can only imagine how tired I’ll be after Christmas!

  1. The cards are beautiful, adds a very personal touch. And that Thanksgiving feast is making me drool LOL. Hope your leg is better ;)

  2. Love the pictures. And your Christmas cards look great!

  3. Thanks Leslie! I had such fun taking those pictures!

  4. I love that your Christmas cards are natural looking, not formal and posed in uncomfortable clothes, know what I mean? I didn’t know Walgreens did cards, are you happy with the quality?

  5. [...] Dawson is infatuated with Winnie the Pooh.  He even picked the design for our Christmas Cards.  Right now, he’s watching the Pooh movie for the 80th time.  I’m starting to be sick and tired of the bear, but if it makes the Doodlebug happy, it makes me happy, too! [...]
