Another Weekend Without Doodlebug
My parents have decided to keep Dawson overnight again this weekend. It’s a routine that they babysit while I work ten miserable hours every Saturday and they offered to keep him overnight. They also had him last weekend and Doug and I took advantage of the free babysitters and went out on the town. I am so grateful for having family nearby like I do, even if they drive me insane sometimes.
Dawson loves staying with “Poppa” so I’m not worried, but I’m starting to miss my little bug. He is growing so fast and I know my parents love him very much. I guess all is well with that situation. I said goodbye to Doodlebug and asked for a hug and he shook his head, denying me of a cuddle. That isn’t sitting so well with me! He thinks he’s too old to hug me? Already? He’s not even two!
I left for work, feeling rejected, but then I realized: I’m with him eveyday and he probably just wants to hang with Grandpa and Grandma today. I’m feeling a little better.
Now, I just need to decide what I’m going to do with myself tonight and tomorrow with no little one to worry about! Monday we’d like to go boating again. I’m definitely darkening my tan. I’m starting to look like I live in Florida all year long. Tonight I suggested we stop at Big Todd’s Rumble Inn for a drink, but Douglio Iglesius hasn’t replied. Hmmm…what to do, what to do??
What are you all doing this weekend? Anything fun?
