Toddler Talking Points
Little Dawson has decided to become absolutely TOO adorable. He started using sentences. First he did it last Saturday and now, suddenly, he surprises me everyday with his phrases and expressions. For example:
- This morning as I was getting ready for work, he was babbling in his crib. Suddenly I heard him say, “El-lo puppy. ‘War you?” Which I think translates to, “Hello Puppy! How are you?” But I could be wrong. My ears could be playing tricks on me.
- Friday night we went for a walk after dinner. I didn’t plan on stopping at any parks so I didn’t put shoes on Dawson. He was riding in the stroller and we walked past Roosevelt School’s playground. “Mumma! Pawk!” I stopped at the playground and said, “Should we go play?” He looked at me and looked at his feet and said, “No soose.” Which I believe means, “No shoes.”
- My husband called me today to tell me that Dawson was being a terror. When I asked what he was doing, Doug replied, “He’s calling me a dupa.” I lauged my dupa off. My son is just toooooo cuuuuute!
